2019 sees the SEMrush Search Awards Australia enter its second year. Aimed at recognising outstanding results from the country’s best digital marketing agencies, individuals, and campaigns, these awards are focused on real results backed by data and creative strategy, which directly increases revenue and business growth.

Last year, Living Online was shortlisted for 3 award categories at the 2018 SEMrush Search Awards: Best Local Campaign, Best Use of Search – Ecommerce, and Best Agency. One year later, after just announcing our award nominations for ADMA’s AC&E Awards, we are again up for another 3 awards in new categories.
1. Best B2B Campaign
For a business-to-business strategy that has had a significant effect and contribution to the brand, product or service objectives.
Our award nomination in SEMrush’s “Best B2B Campaign” was for the work we undertook for an Australian architectural hardware company. Through our strategic market analysis, we identified positioning opportunities and messaging to address their key B2B market segments. This resulted in an online marketing strategy focused on engaging the B2B market through website copy and functionality, and clearly targeted search engine messaging. The website changes have led to a strong increase in brand awareness in key B2B markets and ROI through entry into online ordering.
2. Best Integrated Campaign
For the best campaign that combines multiple marketing channels to deliver strong results in one phenomenal, integrated campaign.
This was a result of the work we undertook for an award-winning architectural lighting designer and manufacturer, who came to us with specific KPIs they needed us to meet, ranging from SEO-related goals, through to increases in subscribers, engaged visitors, and leads.
Never one to disappoint, our full-service digital marketing agency carried out a digital marketing audit, then a segmentation and positioning strategy to drive a multi-level SEO & SEM campaign, targeting the selected audience at every level of the project and purchasing life cycles. The SEO campaign focused on technical on-site improvements and optimisation which saw incredible results within 3 months, while the accompanying Google Ads campaign was strategically built, with appropriate and compelling ads relevant to the identified audience at each stage of the funnel. Combined, this overall strategy resulted in not only hitting, but far exceeding, the KPIs set, in just a few months since signing on.

3. Best Online Marketing Campaign – Travel
For achieving outstanding results from digital marketing in the travel and accommodation industry.
Our work for a Perth caravan park led to this award nomination. Despite offering fantastic amenities and customer service, like nearly all accommodation providers, they had begun to feel the pinch as Online Travel Agents (OTAs) and third party online booking providers continued to increase fees while cannibalising the market. They engaged Living Online to help them take back control, by increasing the number of bookings directly through the website while reducing their reliance on high-fee third party sites.
An extensive website UX overhaul was implemented, aiming at providing the best possible experience for website visitors and funneling them through to the checkout. This conversion rate optimisation immediately saw strong results, with more engaged website visitors, and a higher number of bookings. Strategic direct booking marketing was also implemented, which achieved fantastic results. In just a few short months, Living Online increased total online bookings by 57%, increased direct online bookings by 131%, and rose the direct booking revenue market share to 70% of all online bookings. This meant more opportunity for travellers to stay at and enjoy the caravan park, and more money straight into the client’s pocket instead of going straight to fees and commissions.
